ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
The inaugural Hult Prize (previously known as Global Case Challenges) brought together over 300 of the world’s leading MBA, graduate and undergraduate students in Boston, London, Dubai and Shanghai to present strategies to enable non-profits organisations to provide educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children by developing, producing and distributing affordable laptops, particularly in developing countries.
One Laptop Per Child
One Laptop Per Child will provide educational resources and connects 20 million children around the world in the next ve years using One Laptop per Child’s (OLPC) XO computer. The laptops will be sold based on a multi-tiered pricing model where high GDP countries, like the United States, subsidize the cost for low GDP countries, like Kenya
