The Hult Prize Challenge
The Hult Prize challenges students to launch for-profit startups that support at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). At the end of the competition, one team will win $1M USD in seed funding to bring their idea to life.

Who is eligible to compete in Hult Prize?
At least 18 years of age
Enrolled in any degree-granting program (including undergraduate and graduate programs) at the time of registration.
Pitching a for-profit business that directly supports at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)
How to Register
Once you’ve formed a team, identified a problem and developed a solution, you’ll register online to compete in our qualifying rounds. If your institution hosts a local competition on campus, you’ll be connected with the organizers. If not, you’ll be directed to submit through our Open Application.

Competition Rounds
The Hult Prize competition runs September through September and consists of 5 successive rounds: Qualifiers, Nationals, Digital Incubator, Global Accelerator and Global Finals.

The Million Dollar Deal
At the end of the competition, one of our top 8 finalists will secure $1M in seed investment to advance their business. The Hult Prize Foundation receives an equity stake in the winning startup (typically 10%), which we use to fund our non-profit operations.
