Battery-powered ultrasonic smart water meter
Flow Guard makes smart water management affordable for ordinary and older buildings. Unlike expensive systems designed for luxury towers and utilities, or Wi-Fi devices made for smart homes, Flow Guard works with existing buildings and infrastructure.
Its ultrasonic smart meter can be installed by a local plumber in minutes. It needs no external power or Wi-Fi and runs for over ten years, even in harsh conditions. It detects leaks, automatically shuts off the water, connects residents with certified plumbers, and uses AI to help them reduce consumption. Utilities and facility managers can monitor entire networks through a dedicated dashboard.

Impact
Flow Guard Solutions is making water conservation practical for everyday buildings. In a 30-day pilot in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, the team reduced recorded water use from 328,000 to 69,000 litres, a 79% reduction, while lowering the water bill from $313 to $6. By detecting leaks early, automatically shutting off the water supply, and helping residents understand their consumption, Flow Guard aims to scale its impact across homes, buildings, and utilities.

We started Flow Guard Solutions because water scarcity is an international problem, desalinating and treating water consumes a huge amount of energy, so a leak nobody sees costs the family and it costs the country, and families had no tools to protect their money and their homes from it. We've deployed in homes and seen the impact ourselves: no leak damage, and bills back down to what people actually used. Now we want to keep going until that impact is measured in billions of litres of water and homes protected around the world.
